Many implant courses teach only the theoretical aspects of implantology in depth, leaving a deficiency in practical implant skills. This course also teaches practical implant treatment and surgery, and is followed up by an unparalleled level of post-course support. A much higher proportion of our students go on to place implants independently and regularly than with many traditional university based courses. Our course goal is to produce well trained implant dentists who go on to lead fulfilling implant careers, and over a decade of experience in teaching has honed the course format.



Course Aims


The Certificate in Implant Dentistry year course is a one year implant training course taught by highly experienced Harley Street implant dentist David Guy, and held in the Harley Street Medical District, London at Dr David Guy's exclusive Wimpole Street practice. The course is designed to train dentists even with little or no prior experience of implant dentistry to a high standard, covering implant planning, surgery, restoration, and basic bone grafting. The course teaching has been designed to help dentists become practising implant dentists and not just a theoretical foundation. The course consists of lectures, hands on and live patient experience. UK based dentists registered with the GDC are also able to treat their own patients on the course.

The training centres located in Wimpole Street,London, Cardiff and Bristol teach using the Nobel Biocare dental implant systems.

A key feature of this course is the extensive amount of practical implant teaching and the after course support programme. UK based dentists are encouraged to treat up to ten implant cases on the course. Delegates can gain experience by treating your own practice patients at London or the regional training centres.

The Certificate in Implant Dentistry year course can also forms the foundation stage of the Guy's College Diploma in Implant Dentistry. Allowing you to develop your implant career pathway with the subsequent stage of the Advanced Implant Course.


Course Fees


The cost of the Implant Year Course is £5500 + Vat. Fees are payable by monthly instalment. The course is limited to small numbers.
